Every year, ArrowWood associates come together to volunteer across North America with our partner organization, Feed the Children. We deliver a week’s worth of food and essentials to more than 2,800 families across the country on our annual SHARE DAY.
CLEAN THE WORLDAdditionally, we’ve partnered with Clean the World, a global organization that recycles and reuses complimentary toiletry items like shampoo, conditioner and soap that guests leave behind. These supplies help reduce the spread of deadly diseases like cholera and pneumonia that are preventable with proper hygiene. This initiative helps to save the lives of the 9,000 children who die each year due to illness, as well as sparing our landfills from more than 75,000 tons of waste.
Volunteerism is just one way ArrowWood embraces the notion of being good stewards of the community we all share; equally important to us is preserving our natural resources. We are committed to making all new developments LEED-certified. We partnered with Marriott International to design and develop the first LEED-certified Courtyard by Marriott prototype, saving costs through smart efficiencies. Our data from the past several years shows that our sustainable development projects provide about 24 percent of total energy savings. Our ongoing development commitment to these new standards is augmented by operational practices centered around sustainability, evidenced by partnerships such as Clean the World. By providing these savings for years to come, sustainable development is good for both the Earth and your bottom line.

In 2005, ArrowWood Corp was born out of President and CEO Kartik Shandil`s entrepreneurial and ideas-driven spirit. His mission was to develop and acquire high-quality hotel properties and to provide dedicated hotel management services to both full-service and upscale select-service properties.
Today ArrowWood Corp is known in the hospitality industry for its expertise and excellence as a hotel owner, operator and developer, but it is our company’s emphasis on instilling a rich and vibrant culture that separates it from its competitors. Mr. Kartik Shandil has been involved in virtually every aspect of the hotel industry, including operations, finance, and brand and business strategy. He has personally witnessed the damages of market over saturation, the lack of plan forecasting, and the failure of execution.
